Baseball is part of life...

If there's one thing you can count on for sure, it's that baseball is a part of life as far as my family is concerned. And you can bet that I am so the mom and wife who is at every game with that camera out and ready to capture any good swing, catch, dive or slide! Sometimes I have two cameras on me ;) Who doesn't love baseball? It's just as fun when your 9yrs old or even, well...we'll just say even the BIG boys still love to get dirty, LOL! I look forward every season to watching my oldest boy take the plate. I was especially stoked this last season to see my husband finally return to the field after a little hiatus :) Sure does make me miss playing softball. I do get my fix when I can smacking a few at the batting cages. These days I'm the cheering wife and mom and the occasional "Snack Lady!" All worth it to see them sweaty little boys charging you with huge smiles on their faces! Even if they did lose the game. I sometimes think they love the snack more then the game! These are just a couple of my favorites from the many, and I mean many shots I have from this last season. Nothing special just our "Love of the Game."
Can't wait for next Spring!

Tyson's 1st St.Patricks

As you can tell, I am playing catch up with the blogging and posting. So for the majority of my first postings, they will be that of photo's I took some time ago, but never got around to posting. A little procrastination...but I'm working on it.
Nothing better to practice shooting on then your own kids :) And I gotta say...he's a pretty dang cute baby to shoot :) So I took advantage of his willingness, lol, to pose for mommy on his very 1st St.Patricks Day at just 17 days old. Here are a few snaps I took of our newest "Tyson Levi"

Well, Here we go...

I put this off about as long as I could. I'm not one to talk about myself so I'm glad "a picture can tell a thousand words!" I've always liked art one way or another. Whether it be drawing a late night, last minute banner with my favorite medium of choice, CRAYON, or taking a really good photograph. Being the "shy" one of my family, expressing myself through my creativity suits me well. I'll leave the mic to my sisters and brother. I prefer to be behind the curtain, behind the lens or at the back of the auditorium seeing the whole grand picture I've created. Nothing better then seeing someones face light up over something you poured yourself into. Something you poured into to get that very reaction.
I've always had a love for photography. It took the pushing of my buddy Val, to finally get me behind the lens and give it a real go! I'm glad I did. I have a lot of idea's brewing in this head of mine that I intend to snap into a photo. Here are just a few pics I was messing around with while trying to get a hang of the camera. Or "Beastie Jr." as we refer to it (Val uses "THE Beast"). Let me tell you, it's a HUGE difference going from my little digital camera to the real deal!
But OH how fun it is to shoot with!
